Mental Performance Associate
Scott Armstrong, MA is a former collegiate soccer player and extreme sports enthusiast. Early in his career, he coached elementary children in soccer through recreational programs. He spent the last 4+ years working at two major military installations, providing performance-based training to various tactical athletes. Through an innovative and collaborative approach, he helps performers elevate their potential, enhance resilience, and maintain optimal well-being.
Scott earned a Master of Arts in Sport Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, where he also supported a varsity rowing team for six months, delivering mental performance training.He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Blackburn College, where he also served as a peer counselor under professional supervision. Scott has an accredited certification in Mindfulness - Mindful Sport Performance Enhancement (MSPE), and part of his philosophy often merges mindfulness methods with ecopsychology (nature-based connection) to promote holistic wellness.
Scott is currently eligible and preparing to apply for the Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) certification through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).
